Do you have projects that you would like to sell as digital downloads? The downloads can be PDF files or AUDIO files.
Your PDF files can be books, magazines - fiction - nonfiction - pictures - graphics etc. Just about anything that can be converted to a PDF file. Your audio files can be CD's or mp3 files.
We have a list of people who want to get started and when we have at least 100 projects to set up we can get started. The sales site will be set up under Children of the Universe and we need approximately 100 projects to make implementing the security, digital rights management and payment system cost effective.
The advantage to all of us is that by selling our books, stories and music as digital downloads we eliminate reproduction and shipping costs to the author/seller. No more having to pay for a thousand copies of something up front and no more running around to get stuff shipped and no more worrying that your book or CD does get to that person to Australia, or that the cost of shipping will be more than the product. See How DRM Can Free Us From Big Label, Studio and Publisher Control
Everyday I talk to people who are creating their music, writing their books and zines, taking photographs and making graphic art. All kinds of entertaining, interesting stuff that they don't want to have to get permission from any label, publisher or studio to get in front of everybody else. Never before have there been so many creative people finding ways do to what they want to do. There are millions of them and us – and the break down of the big company monopolies is opening the doors for those millions to get their work produced and in front of hundreds of millions of potential buyers/supporters/appreciators – whatever the creatives crave to create and the public finds interesting and entertaining.
The basics are simple - Projects that are sold as PDF files have a set up fee of $75.00 and the seller gets 60% of the sale. Projects that are sold as mp3 files cost $100.00 to set up and the seller gets 60% of the sale. The seller chooses the selling price, with a minimum sales price of $5.00. Setup includes storage for twelve months. After twelve months, if you want to continue to sell the project there will be a nominal storage fee to cover our storage costs.
If we have committments for 100 projects by the first week of November, we can have everyone set up by the first of December to catch the year end buying season.
If you have a project that you would like to include go to "about" and email me. Put Digital Download Sales in the subject line so I will be able to flag your email.
Pass this on to your associates who may have projects that they want to sell without going through the expense of paying to produce and ship product. We know that there are thousands of people with projects that can sell and we want to get started.

I am always finding myself trying to launch some kind of start-up, I have yet to hit it big but brought a couple to the point of making money and learned a bunch, the biggest qustion I always have is who is the competetion and how can you take their business. Also how can you disrupt the field to get people to talk about the product?
I get insomia laying in bed thinking about this kind of stuff cause my brain never seems to shut down. Hope it works out for you.

There are now many many new sites on the Internet that will sell music downloads for Indie artists for a 40% sales fee, or fixed fee per sale. What is "Children of The Universe" going to do to promote its artists and get music listeners to come to your site as opposed to the many many other sites. This is the key going forward. This is what record labels used to do, that you will now have to do if you want to get into this business. There is a huge disparity between what music buyers want and what is available. The only way this kind of a business model will work is if you have the best artists on your site and only your site, as soon as they post their music on other sites it becomes a commodity and lowest price will get the sale. So it comes down to getting the best artists and then promoting them on the Internet, not just having a website.
